Beccah’s Pick: Dukkah Crusted Baked Brie

Rebeccah Marrero

There’s no denying it- comfort food rocks even when the weather is hot. Personally, I can never resist any sort of baked Brie and this Middle Eastern twist on the classic appetizer hits all the right notes. With a hint of crunch, molten cheesy goodness and the sweetness of honey, this classy app looks and tastes complex, making you look like a culinary rock-star and leaving all your friends impressed. Kate’s Pick: Slow-Roasted Cherry Tomatoes and Garlic with Herbed Ricotta & Balsamic

Kate Edeker

There is absolutely nothing better than a recipe where every ingredient shines through. In the prime of tomato season, I can’t imagine anything more satisfying than biting into the beautiful combination of tomato and ricotta. Forget calling this an appetizer, this is all I need for a meal. (via Inspired Edibles on NoshOnIt)

Rebecca’s Pick: Sriracha Shrimp Skewers

Rebecca Small

Is there anything that can’t be improved by sriracha? This recipe uses the beloved hot sauce sauce in a quick marinade that results in succulent shrimp that are tangy, a little sweet and spicy-all in 15 minutes. To me, that slight char on grilled meats and seafood signals summer. I couldn’t get enough of these little guys when I made them on Memorial Day, and neither could my friends – no one wanted to share that last skewer! (via Handle the Heat on NoshOnIt)

Brooke’s Pick: Grilled Pork Banh Mi

Brooke Jackson-Glidden

I have to be honest with you guys, I’m never not craving a banh mi. A banh mi is the one good thing to come out of the French occupation of Vietnam: A crunchy baguette and pate meets pork and pickled vegetables for the ultimate fusion sandwich. The contrast of fresh from the garden and tangy homemade pickled veggies, plus the succulent pork straight off the grill, makes a banh mi a perfect summer sandwich. (via Merci Mama on NoshOnIt)

Vijay’s Pick: Chả Cá Thăng Long (Vietnamese Fish with Turmeric and Dill)

Vijay Nathan

When we first featured this recipe, I was surprised to see the use of dill in a Vietnamese dish. It turns out that it’s actually really common in certain parts of Southeast Asia! This dish has a complicated name but is actually quite easy to make. The earthy flavors of the turmeric create a crunchy crust on the fish which is complemented with handfuls of fresh dill, scallions, and crunchy peanuts. Served over vermicelli noodles with a tangy-sweet sauce, I could literally eat this every day. (via Culinary Chronicles on NoshOnIt)

Nisreen’s Pick: Strawberry Shortcake for Two

Nisreen Galloway

There are few things I love more in this world than strawberries and whipped cream. Lucky for me, this personalized strawberry shortcake combines both of these in a refreshingly sweet dessert. Fresh strawberries, a semi-sweet biscuit, and cool whipped cream are easily assembled in this colorful, and seasonally appropriate, dessert that I can’t wait to sink my fork into! Beth’s Pick: Peach Amaretto Tart (Gluten Free)

Beth Wittenstein

After bringing home an armful of ripe peaches from the farmers’ market, few things sound better to me than a sweet and beautiful dessert like this gluten-free tart! Featuring almonds, cheesecake filling and booze, this summer fresh dessert encompasses all of my favorite things and tops the chart of my baking to-do list! (via Baking a Moment on NoshOnIt)

Alex’s Pick: Blueberry Greek Yogurt Tartelettes

Alex Singer

I made these blueberry tartelettes shortly after we featured them last year. And how were they? In one word – amazing. Heavy desserts have never been my thing and the combination of greek yogurt, lemon zest and blueberries make this a refreshing light and summery dessert. This time, I went back for seconds. Lizzie’s Pick: Banoffee Surprise Pie

Lizzie Tilchin

Pie doesn’t get nearly as much love as it deserves over the summer, and in my humble o-pie-nion we should all be celebrating it (read: eating it) year round. I can’t recall the last time I had a fully satisfying slice of pie, my sweet tooth has been off the charts lately, and I could definitely get down with this Banoffee Surprise Pie right now. In this version of the classic English dessert, every mouthful is the perfect combination of yummy bananas, gooey toffee-flavored filling, crumbly graham-cracker crust, and all that other good stuff. Yes, please. (via Sprinkled with Flour on NoshOnIt)
