Raychel’s adoration for all things sweet stems from a childhood of watching her grandmother perfect both the apple pie and the chocolate chip cookie. After spending years sifting flour for several of these pies and cookies, Raychel decided to get in the kitchen, make a mess, and teach herself the basics of baking. Like her grandmother, she believes that food, and great food especially, brings people together in a way that nothing else can, which is exactly what has inspired her to pursue her culinary gene. Currently, her favorite confections include baked doughnuts, fruit and cheese tarts, and various buttercreams. When she’s not testing new recipes in the kitchen, she can be found getting food on her clothes, browsing for books, adoring her cat, and driving around in her 1978 VW Westfalia.
