Salted Caramel Brownies

Decadent and over the top, just how we like it

These brownies are the perfect decadent treat to end a long week. And, they’re a lot simpler than they look! The trick to the gooey caramel center is to half-bake a thin layer of brownie batter and melt down caramel candies with some salt and cream to make the filling. If you’re feeling extra special, you can make your own salted caramel but using the candies is a great shortcut. Spread a layer of the caramel filling, top it carefully with more brownie batter and continue baking until done. The coup de gras is a generous sprinkling of good sea salt on top to bring it all together.
