One of our favorite ways to make sure that our cookies are of the same size is to use an ice cream scoop! After a few scoops, though, the batter tends to clump up on the scoop, making it more difficult to get even sized portions. Here’s our little trick to make sure the batter doesn’t stick to the scoop:
Spray your spoon or ice cream scoop with non stick spray before scooping. The batter will slide right out of the scoop! If you notice the batter starting to stick, re-apply the spray and continue.
You’ll want to make sure to use a neutral flavored cooking spray and not one of the olive oil varieties since we don’t want any extra flavors added to the cookies. Using this technique, you’ll get perfect, even scoops with much less clean up.
