Almonds are one of the most nutritious nuts because, among other things, they are full of monounsaturated fats (the good fats that could help lower your LDL cholesterol) and Vitamin E. If you’re tired of eating them raw out of hand, almond butter is a wonderful and healthier alternative to your morning spreads for toast. Most of the store bought brands can be quite expensive and lacking in flavor (which they call “pure”) but this version is made extra delicious with the addition of fresh vanilla bean and just a few spoons of brown sugar for a bit of sweetness. And with only 4 ingredients, it couldn’t be simpler! Almond butter and homemade jam sandwich, anyone?
