The outside of the gyro is just as important as its contents, so make sure your pita is soft enough to wrap around the meat and fillings. Whether your pitas are coming from the fridge or the counter, follow these tips to reheat your pita bread:
Preheat your oven to 350 F.
Using a pastry brush, lightly coat the pita with a small amount of water on both sides.
Place pitas on a baking sheet and allow them to warm up in the oven for 5-10 minutes or until heated through.
The water helps keep the pitas soft and fluffy for wrapping and the heat from the oven will give them just enough toastiness to freshen them up.
